Paul Haynes, AIA is an architect and nationally recognized designer specializing in museum facilities and interactive exhibit environments. As President of InterActive Group he leads the firm’s exhibit development and consulting services. Paul is a strong advocate of dynamic education settings combining visitor-friendly spaces with compelling exhibit content. He brings his broad experience as a museum architect and exhibit designer to the unique needs of museums in reaching and serving their audiences with hands-on learning.
Prior to founding InterActive Group, Paul headed Haynes + Associates Architects, specializing in services for museum, visitor and cultural facilities. His architectural work encompasses numerous museum projects, including the renovations of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and the Historic New Orleans Collection.
A frequent presenter at museum conferences, Paul focuses on informing museum professionals about strategies for hands-on learning initiatives. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Michael Strohm is an award winning interpretive designer and fabricator with 30 years of experience in providing innovative exhibits for nature centers and museums across the nation. As head of Michael Strohm Design he has channeled his schooling in Forestry, Architecture, and Fine Art into a lifelong passion for showcasing our North American freshwater eco-systems. Mike has observed that each stream has its own visual and biological signature which requires careful "Artistic Engineering" for successful duplication within an architectural environment. His hands-on attention to detail and his diverse project support network yield Living Stream exhibits that delight visitors with quality, performance, and reliability.
Linda Young brings to InterActive Group her diverse roles as a museum professional, including stints as a board member, non-profit leader, museum educator and executive director. Linda has extensive experience working with museum groups to create dynamic learning environments and teaching opportunities in the museum setting.
Linda is uniquely attuned to a client’s needs and perspective. Her experience includes serving as Director of Education at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, Founding Executive Director of the Great Lakes Children’s Museum, and Executive Director of the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society.
In addition to helping museums develop strong interpretive environments, Linda’s background helps strengthen the planning process from the preliminary planning phase and program development through project completion. Ms. Young is a member of the American Association of Museums.
Lee Morais is a noted museum educator, award-winning filmmaker and artist. He brings his extensive museum, educational, and creative experiences to the design of learning-based exhibit environments that delight and inform our clients’ visitors.
As former Director of Education at the New Orleans Museum of Art, he established the museum’s interactive educational exhibition, the stARTing point, one of the first permanent interactive education installations in the United States. He also directed "Van Go on Wheels", an award-winning outreach education program serving the New Orleans Public Schools.
Lee taught art and film making for over twenty years at Michigan State University, the University of New Mexico, Towson, State University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he chaired the Fine Arts Department.
Jules Babineaux, PE heads exhibit engineering and fabrication for InterActive Group through Exhibits, Etc. He is a recognized exhibit engineer and fabricator of interactive exhibits for museums and visitor facilities. His experience in the design and production of high quality interactive exhibits spans three decades and encompasses a wide range of science centers, nature education centers, children’s museums and interpretive sites.
Elliott Sigman – As Exhibit Designer, Elliott leads the design and development of exhibit shells and is responsible for fabrication documents. He combines his skills in digital modeling with a strong desire to create visitor-friendly experiences. Elliott is a graduate of the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University.
Amy Homan – As Graphic Designer, Amy leads the development of graphics for the firm’s exhibits, interiors and print productions. She combines her skills as an illustrator with a talent for strong visual communication that speaks directly to visitors. Amy is a graduate of the Department of Design at The Ohio State University.
